Undergraduate Programs
B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering)
  • Eligibility through CET / COMED-K / JEE Mains:
    Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects.
  • General Category: Minimum 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • SC/ST/OBC: Minimum 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Management Quota:

    Candidates must appear for any of the following entrance exams and secure a rank:
    
KEA CET, COMED-K, JEE Mains, or any other state-level engineering entrance test.

B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture)

  • Eligibility:
  • 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate, including English and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics and a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates must also appear and secure at least 40% in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture).

NRI/FQ/PIO Supernumerary Quota

  • Eligibility based on the 10+2 pattern of education (equivalent to Pre-university of Karnataka) with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Mathematics, and any other optional subject.
  • NRIs: Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries are eligible.
  • Foreign Nationals: Citizens of countries other than India.

Documents required include employment certificates, passport, visa copies, and others listed in the original content.

Lateral Entry Scheme (B.E.)

For candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering, SIT offers direct admission to the second year (Lateral Entry).

  • Candidates must have completed the Diploma Examination with a minimum of 45% (General Merit) and 40% (SC/ST and OBC) in the final year subjects.
Management Quota

Admissions Open for Management Quota

Seats
SIT offers a limited number of seats under the Management Quota for the academic year 2025-26. Candidates can apply for admission through the management quota by securing a rank in the relevant entrance exams as per the requirements.

M.Tech (Master of Technology)
  • Eligibility through GATE / PGCET (Karnataka):
    Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline.

    • General Category: Minimum 50% marks or CGPA 5.75 in aggregate.

    • SC/ST/Category-1 (Karnataka): Minimum 45% in aggregate.

    Entrance Exams:
    GATE or Karnataka PGCET – any one mandatory.

    Note: The aggregate percentage of marks will be calculated from all semesters of the qualifying degree. Rounding off of percentage is not permitted.

MBA (Master of Business Administration)

  • Eligibility through KMAT / CMAT / MAT / PGCET:
    Candidates must hold a 3-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

    • General Category: Minimum 50% marks or CGPA 5.75 in aggregate.

    • SC/ST/Category-1 (Karnataka): Minimum 45% in aggregate.

    Entrance Exams:
    KMAT, CMAT, MAT, or PGCET – any one mandatory.

MCA (Master of Computer Applications)

Eligibility through KMAT / PGCET:
Candidates must have passed a 3-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the electives/optional subjects.

  • General Category: Minimum 50% marks or CGPA 5.75 in aggregate.

  • SC/ST/Category-1 (Karnataka): Minimum 45% in aggregate.

     Entrance Exams:
     KMAT or PGCET – any one           mandatory.

     Note: Rounding off of percentage is not permitted.

   GATE Scholarship
  • Only candidates with a valid GATE score are eligible for GATE scholarship.

  • Candidates opting seats under Sponsored Quota are not eligible for GATE stipend.

  • SC/ST/OBC candidates claiming other government scholarships are not eligible for GATE stipend.

  • Candidates enrolled under Part-Time M.Tech programs are not eligible for GATE stipend.

Ph.D

  • Ph.D. Program:
    Candidates must have a postgraduate qualification (Master’s degree) in the relevant discipline.
    Working professionals and faculty members are also eligible to apply.

  • M.Sc. (Eng.) Program:
    Candidates must have completed a 4-year B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering discipline.

Undergraduate (UG) Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to UG programs (B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch) at SIT must meet the following criteria:

  • Passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board

  • Mandatory subjects: Physics and Mathematics

  • Optional subjects (any one): Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Electronics, Biotechnology, or IT

  • Minimum marks:

    • General category: 45% aggregate in the above subjects

    • Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC): 40% aggregate

For B.Arch applicants:

  • Must have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or 10+3 Diploma

  • Must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories)

 Candidates applying for postgraduate programs (M.Tech, MCA, MBA) at SIT must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Program-wise requirements:

  • M.Tech:

    • B.E./B.Tech in a relevant stream

    • Valid score in GATE or PGCET (as applicable)

  • MCA:

    • Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or at the graduation level

    • Admission through PGCET or equivalent entrance exam

  • MBA:

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Additional requirements:

  • Must qualify through any one of the following:

    • SIT’s Ph.D. entrance test

    • UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, SLET, or other recognized national-level exams

  • Final selection may include a personal interview and submission of a research proposal

PG Diploma Eligibility Criteria

Program: PG Diploma in Bioinformatics and Big Data Analytics

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
