Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumakuru, established in 1963, is an autonomous institution affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. It is one of the 121 institutions run by the Sree Siddaganga Education Society, founded by his Holiness Padma Bhushana, Karnataka Ratna Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji, who served society selflessly for 111 years. Today, the institute thrives under the guidance of his Holiness Sree Sree Siddalinga Swamigalu.
