The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is India’s premier youth development organisation functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It provides a platform for students to imbibe the values of discipline, leadership, character and national integration through structured military training, social service, and adventure activities.
At Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, the NCC unit is an integral part of campus life. Our cadets represent the spirit of service and dedication, participating in training programmes, national events, and community initiatives throughout the academic year.

- The National Cadet Corps unit of Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, has been privileged to witness a distinguished transition of leadership — one that reflects the corps’ enduring values of duty, discipline, and continuity of service.
- Lieutenant (Dr.) Prasanna D R, having rendered commendable service to the unit, formally entrusted the responsibilities of command to CTO Dr. Vineeth Kumar T V. This handover, conducted with seamless professionalism, stands as a testament to the institutional integrity and cooperative spirit that define the NCC at SIT Tumkur.
- CTO Dr. Vineeth Kumar T V assumed charge of the unit on 18th September 2025 with dedication and a resolute sense of purpose. Notwithstanding his relatively recent association with the NCC fraternity, he has discharged his responsibilities with the commitment and sincerity befitting the highest traditions of the Corps. His ability to harmonise the demands of academic obligations with the rigours of NCC administration reflects both his professional calibre and his personal devotion to the institution.
- His accessibility to cadets, his empathetic approach to their concerns, and his readiness to render guidance always have established him as a mentor of considerable repute within the unit. The cadets under his charge have found in him not merely an officer, but a dependable guide and a source of steady inspiration.
- Under the stewardship of CTO Dr. Vineeth Kumar T V, the NCC unit of Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, continues to progress with renewed vigour, fortified discipline, and an abiding commitment to the ideals upon which the National Cadet Corps was founded.
